Okay, so Harry Potter is one of my favorite topics and, since I want this blog to be about topics, especially those I like, I think it's a great place to start. I'm currently in Australia studying and, to have something familiar around me, I brought two of my Harry Potter books. I soon realized that that just wouldn't be good enough, though. After reading the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I remembered why I loved the stories so much. So, here's the top five for the day.
Top Five Reasons to Read Harry Potter
5.) The books are addictive, so even if you only read, like, one line of one book, you're hooked and have no choice but to read the entire seven book series. It's irresistable.
4.) Harry Potter has become a ridiculously huge film franchise, too, so you get to see all of your favorite British actors and actresses play some brilliantly imagined characters.
3.) Harry may not be responsible for bringing sexy back, but he DID bring back round glasses, scars, and doing nude plays. lol
2.) When you read the story, you are in a totally different world. I compare it to Twilight by saying that, when you read Twilight, you're like, "I can't believe that happened to Bella/Edward/etc.", but when you read Harry Potter, you're like, "I can't believe that happened to my best friend Ron/Harry/Hermione".
1.) The best reason to read Harry Potter is because it's a generational icon. I mean, seriously, is there anyone living in normal society that hasn't heard of Harry Potter?
So, you can stop trying to fight it. You're going to like it. I promise. :)
